Ukraine 2025

In July 2025, I traveled to Ukraine for ten days in a van with three other members of the aid organization EUFOMEDA. We brought boxes of medicines and medical supplies – donated for a hospital in Mykolaiv.
as well as baby items into the country.

We were stationed in Mykolaiv, in eastern Ukraine, for six days. Thanks to our local partners, we were also able to reach remote villages in the Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts, as well as the city of Kherson itself.

Dr. Matthias Werner from Freiburg examined around 200 people during this period, who were also provided with medication and vitamins. The constant presence of drones, the ongoing shelling, and the enormous psychological strain are omnipresent in this region – especially in Kherson, which lies directly on the front line with the Russian positions.

Their mission is to effectively support people in humanitarian emergencies – with medical care, logistical assistance, and practical solidarity. Currently, our focus is on Ukraine, where we deliver aid supplies, medicines, medical equipment, and targeted support directly to where they are needed.

Our vision is a world where aid is provided quickly, effectively, and with compassion – independent of political interests and far removed from bureaucracy. We rely on humanity, commitment, and a strong network of partners and volunteers.
